FAQs for Peels
As the name suggests, some skin types can expect very mild redness and some possible flaking and/or peeling to reveal fresh new skin cells underneath. Your Medik8 professional will recommend a bespoke home regime to help restore and recover your skin so you can get the very best results. After Care Packs are available for purchase at the Spa.
24 hours post-peel, your skin will likely feel a little tight and may appear slightly warm and flushed.Follow the customised aftercare. Mineral make up can be applied. We recommend Issada.Within 3 days, your skin may start to feel dry and slightly flaky, any pigment areas can look temporarily a little darker, but within the week you will start to see clearer, more uniform skin tone.3 - 5 days post-peel, your skin will be more susceptible to the sun. Always remember to use a non active moisturiser and apply your SPF physical sunscreen and reduce your exposure to the sun, wear a hat if possible. After 3-7 days you may resume your normal skin care.
For optimal results, we recommend following a Medik8 CSA skincare regime 2 weeks before your first peel.
